Odds and Ends
It is raining very heavily again this day. It always seems to be raining on Wednesdays. It's the only day of the week I'm here, and I still don't have much to say that I haven't said before.
I did get a comment (in person) about the Blue House, and apparently that space is going to be used for a minimall or something. Maybe they won't tear the building down after all. Maybe they'll use it as a museum. One can only hope.
It's quite lively in the office today.
For the next JET Programme orientation I'll be allotted forty whole minutes to do a seminar on disaster prevention and emergency preparedness. The new JETs this year will be really lucky, or unlucky, depending on your politics, to get three quarters of an hour of me rather than the usual three minutes. Planning for the seminar is underway. We've got lots of handbooks and other goodies to give away.
Someone is calling me away for the chat salon now.
